How it started

Nottingham MMA was formally known as Bushido MMA, with top fighters such as Dan Hardy, Paul Daley and Jimmy Wallhead where they all started their fight careers. Bushido MMA was headed by BJJ Black Belt and Professional Fighter Lee Livingstone who has since moved on and now teaches at his own academy Big Foot Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu over in Thailand.

When Paul Lukowski took over the gym in around 2014 he decided to re-brand and re-locate as he quickly out grew the old venue. Introducing new coaches and developing his own unique style of teaching, classes at Nottingham MMA quickly became more popular.

We are extremely proud of the team at Nottingham MMA and look forward to continuing its ever developing future.
